‘Tell me. Tell me exactly what you think about me. Which part of me do you like? Do you like my neck? Or elbow?’
One opera singer, one actor, an evening of drinking, debauchery, and deception.
A failed opera singer, Emily lives a lonely but lush life as a housewife. A visit from her old friend Emma offers an escape from her isolation. But as the two drink and dance into the night Emma gradually brings the worst out of Emily, highlighting her flaws, amplifying her insecurities, and making her smaller and more helpless.
Moon Kim, creator of the surrealist dreamscapes and ★★★★★ hits The Waiting Room and The Arms, returns with Emma or Emily — a new experimental opera-play exploring the fractured mind of an artist. Featuring an original score by Hungarian-American composer Ábel MGE, marking their second collaboration.
