Richard Jordan (Patron) is an Olivier, Tony, and Emmy Award-winning artistic producer, described by The Stage newspaper as "one of the UK's most prolific producers”. A new writing and musical theatre specialist, Richard was a first recipient of the Society of London New Producers Award and a finalist in the British Council Young Creative Entrepreneur Awards. He began his theatre career at the fringe and in 2024, celebrated his 25th year as an artistic producer. Richard enjoys creative relationships in 29 countries and has produced over 260 productions which have been the recipient of over 60 major theatre awards. He has been at the forefront of discovering, commissioning, developing, and producing world premieres and revivals of works by a diverse range of new and established UK and international writers, artists, and companies often with a strong social and political agenda. In 2022 he became the first international producer to present work in Ukraine since the outbreak of war with the Russian Federation, in a collaboration with its leading national arts festival which brought art and humanitarian aid into the country.
Richard has been a Patron of Brighton Fringe since 2010. He is also an Ambassador of The Garage in the UK, an innovative national centre for creative learning and artistic development for young people in the city of Norwich and is joint Patron with MP Yvette Cooper of West Yorkshire’s 412 Dance Theatre which affords training opportunities for young people, many who come from socially challenged and underrepresented backgrounds. With Brighton Fringe, Richard also serves on the judging panel of the Brighton Fringe Award presented annually at the Edinburgh Fringe for which the winning show receives support towards its transfer to Brighton Fringe the following year.
Mary Allen (Patron) is is a British writer, broadcaster, arts administrator and management consultant. She has been involved with a number of arts organisations throughout the years, as well as presenting a number of programmes for BBC Radio 4.
