Venues at Brighton Fringe

Registered venues and what that means for Artists, Producers, and Audiences

As registrations for Brighton Fringe 2027 get underway, our priority is to ensure our community of artists, producers, and audiences has accurate information and can plan their Fringe experience with confidence.

It has recently been brought to our attention that Rotunda Theatre is currently listing Brighton Fringe 2027 as a destination for their pop-up venue. For the avoidance of doubt, please be advised that Rotunda Theatre is not a registered or authorised Brighton Fringe venue for the upcoming festival in 2027, nor are there any plans for it to be.

Brighton Fringe operates a formal venue registration process, which is essential in helping to protect the fair treatment, investment and wellbeing of the artists who create the work, while ensuring a positive, safe, accessible and secure experience for the audiences who attend.

We are issuing this update to ensure everyone can make fully informed decisions regarding their programming and attendance. Please note that any performances booked at an unregistered venue will be entirely independent of Brighton Fringe, which carries the following implications:

For Artists and Producers: Shows booked outside of our registered network are not able to be included in our official printed brochure, our website, or our central ticketing platform.

Brighton Fringe are also unable to provide these productions with our standard Artist Services support, marketing infrastructure or our pastoral care throughout the festival period.

For Audiences: Tickets for these events will not be available through the official Brighton Fringe Box Office. As a result, we cannot guarantee our usual standards of customer service, accessibility support, or financial security for these performances.

Brighton Fringe are committed to supporting our artists and have a fantastic, diverse network of officially registered venues across the city ready to welcome you.

If you are an artist seeking a venue for 2027, or if you need to verify any venue’s official registration status before committing to a contract, please do not hesitate to get in touch with our friendly Festival & Events Team:
