Guest artists include Kenneth Uphopho from the multi award-winning production of Esther’s Revenge - an experiential play inspired by true events exploring themes around race, colonisation, violence against women, political and social injustice.
Other guest artists include the multi-talented musician MRISI performing alongside the Ugandan-Finnish singer-songwriter MAD ICE.
Artist, curator & graphic designer Vian Roos presents 'This is New Brighton' - a collaborative transnational visual art and photography series reflecting on colonial references in the built environment.
The Pan-African Creative Exchange (PACE) is a biennial showcase and arts market developed in partnership with Vrystaat Arts Festival in South Africa. PACE aims to elevate interdisciplinary arts from Africa and the African Diaspora, and to cultivate more equitable representation of creative expression on the global stage. PACE platforms the development, exploration and presentation of high quality creative practices, ideas, contexts, innovations, processes, projects and collaborations through a series of international activations.
