The first Indian to perform at Grammy Museum Los Angeles, Lakshay Mohan is today considered one of the finest young Sitar Maestros of the country. Born in a family where there were no professional musicians, it was his sheer love and dedication towards classical music since a very young age that has led him to reach a level of maturity and finesse that is shown in his performances today.

Lakshay Mohan has studied under senior disciples of the Sitar legend Pt. Ravi Shankar

Lakshay has won the hearts of audiences at prestigious classical music festivals and venues across the world, some of which are: Symphony Space New York, Berklee College Boston, Central Conservatory of Music China, Thyaghraja Festival Cleveland, Learn Quest Music Conference Boston, Sawai Gandharva Festival Pune, Gunidas Sangeet Sammelan Mumbai, Saptak Festival Ahmedabad, Vishnu Digambar Samaroh Delhi, Ganga Mahotsav Varanasi.

He has also given numerous motivational talks on various platforms including TEDx to make the younger generation more aware about cultural heritage. Lakshay Mohan recently appeared on the popular show 'Good Day New York' on Fox5 TV channel, USA.

He was nominated for the Global Indian Music Academy awards in 2016 for the Best Classical Instrumentalist.

After listening to the Jugalbandi(Duet) of Lakshay Mohan and Aayush Mohan at the Ravi Shankar Centre in 2012, Pandit Ravi Shankar, on seeing their talent, decided to launch them for their debut USA tour under his foundation. He has many albums to his credit which are released by Times Music.
