Fringe Academy exists to break down barriers that prevent those from low-income backgrounds or underrepresented groups from accessing the arts, by providing free skills-based training, advice and support. It's a free opportunity which creates resources for individuals looking to expand their knowledge and skillset of the arts.
To view any upcoming Fringe Academy workshops, go to What's On and select 'Fringe Academy' from the advanced search filters.
We run workshops throughout the year which are open to all to attend (sometimes virtually, sometimes in person).
Upcoming workshops are announced in artist emails, so keep checking back! If you have any queries, email [email protected] or call 01273 764 907.

How to Market Your EVENT
Wednesday 21 January 2026
Join Caz Slota from Spark Arts AM&PM and Tom Hooker from Lost Hippo to chat about how to best market your event for Brighton Fringe 2026.
Caz Slota founded Spark AM&PM in 2018, providing marketing consultancy services for arts companies across the UK – from hyper-local community projects to major organisations with an international audience. Caz began her career in arts marketing and management at The King’s Head Theatre in London before moving on to Norwich Playhouse, spending the next 10 years promoting performances of every possible size and shape, and running the venue as part of the senior management team. Caz mentors early-career arts marketers through the AMA mentoring scheme.
Meet Tom – Director of Lost Hippo, Brighton’s cheekiest boutique immersive theatre company, where audiences don’t just watch the show… they actually get to play in it! With a background in Chinese Pole and Clowning, Tom spent over 10 years travelling the world performing in live circus shows before diving headfirst into the jungle of social media. There, he grew his own account to a whopping 3 million followers and ran accounts for heavyweights like Cartoon Network UK, BBC Eurovision, and Guinness World Records.
With years of experience in branded #AD campaigns on TikTok and Instagram, he discovered that applying those same principles to his own Brighton Fringe marketing helped turn modest budgets into sold-out shows.
