Fringe Academy exists to break down barriers that prevent those from low-income backgrounds or underrepresented groups from accessing the arts, by providing free skills-based training, advice and support. It's a free opportunity which creates resources for individuals looking to expand their knowledge and skillset of the arts.

Introducing our panel members:
Winner of Best Family Show at Brighton Fringe 2025, Out of the Box is the must-see comedy spectacle that’s winning ★★★★★ reviews across the country.
Armed with nothing but a mysterious box and a knack for turning toothbrushes, teapots, and even plungers into riotous routines, Darryl J Carrington brings audiences of all ages to tears of laughter. From nail-biting juggling to brilliantly silly set-pieces, every show is a joyful celebration of play.
With his warm, word-free clowning, Darryl makes everyone feel part of the fun — kids, parents, and even grandparents leave glowing. Critics call it “absolutely spectacular” (One4Review) and “utterly absorbing, charming and great fun” (The Scotsman).
This is family theatre at its very best: skilful, silly, and unforgettable.
