Fringe Academy: Insurance for Fringe Artists: What You Actually Need (And Why) - Brighton Fringe
Fringe Academy: Insurance for Fringe Artists: What You Actually Need (And Why)
Have you been asked for Public Liability certificate and thought “Do I really need this?” This session is for performers, producers, and touring artists and those new to Fringe.

Fringe artists are often required to have insurance, but the reasons why (and what’s actually necessary) aren’t always clear. This session is designed to explain it simply.

We’ll walk through:

- Why venues ask for Public Liability and what it actually covers
- Why venue insurance doesn’t automatically include your show
- When Employers’ Liability becomes relevant (even for small teams)
- Other covers you may hear about equipment, cancellation, cyber and when they matter
- Using a real-world Fringe-style case study, we’ll show how these situations play out in practice and what difference the right cover makes

This is a practical, no-jargon session to help you how to get set up and understand what you do and don't need. There will be time for live Q&A, so you can ask questions specific to your show or setup.
