Volunteer at Brighton Fringe
Volunteering at Brighton Fringe is a great way to gain valuable festival experience, meet new people, develop new skills and help contribute to England’s largest arts festival. We will require a wide range of volunteers as the festival approaches and see below for more information on how you can get involved.
Sign-up online or email us if you would like more information.
Information Point & Participants' Hub Assistants
We need Information volunteers to help us give out information to the general public, answer general enquiries and assist at our Participants' Hub; a drop in space for anyone involved in putting on a Brighton Fringe event. We will have several Brighton Fringe Information Points located throughout Brighton, including our pop up Box Office on New Road and another at Brighton Train Station. We will need people on weekdays and weekends to help us fulfil these roles.
Fringe City Event Team Volunteers
Fringe City is our outdoor public event with two stages which showcase free performances from Brighton Fringe events, taking place every Saturday and Sunday in May on New Road.
We need volunteers every weekend in May to help us produce these events; the event team help us to set up and take down the Fringe City kit before and after shows, provide assistance to our sound engineers during shows, help keep show times to schedule and liaise between performers and the event management team.
Our event team also help us with stewarding and general liaison with the public and performers who are performing at Fringe City, they may also be asked to help by handing out Brighton Fringe flyers, brochures or giving out general information. Stewards will be fully briefed and trained before they assist at Fringe City.
Days & Times
We need volunteers every day from Friday 28th April through to Tuesday 6th June. Street Team and Participant Hub volunteers are needed week days and weekends. Event Team volunteers are needed on Thursday, Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday day times. Our volunteer roles are managed in shifts, between 4hrs long and 6 hrs long, and you can choose to do one shift or as many as you like.
