SLAY - Brighton Fringe
SLAY
Following a PTSD diagnosis, small-town, small-screen-obsessed Kit escapes the North East for London-until a text from her ex detonates her recovery, sending her spiralling through therapy, chaos and increasingly unhelpful coping fantasies. In a generation that processes trauma via TikTok, Kit is determined to stay the main character (because if she doesn’t laugh, she’ll cry and probably post it).

As symptoms, triggers and disordered eating collide, she faces a choice: confront her past or continue doing what she does best - be delusional and avoid it. From Offie nominated actor-writer, Lois-Amber Toole's SLAY is a darkly funny, unapologetically North East reckoning with class, internet culture and the pressure on young women’s bodies.
