Brighton Fringe Ltd Seeks New Trustees

Brighton Fringe Ltd, the company behind the central administration of England’s largest arts festival, seeks new trustees to support a new phase in its development.

Jamie Arnell, Chair of Brighton Fringe, said ‘We are particularly looking for people who can fill some of the gaps in skills and experience of the current board. We welcome applications from all and are particularly looking for people with a background in arts funding, law, accountancy and HR.’

In 2021, Brighton Fringe consisted of 630 events in 91 venues across the city and attracted audiences of over 170,000. In 2020, despite the challenges we all faced, Brighton Fringe ran an Autumn Season made up of 88 in-person and digital events.

It is an international festival that is at the same time rooted in the community. It is an open-access festival, and embraces every art form and every form of artistic expression and supports both new and established performers in trying out new work and taking risks.  Brighton Fringe 2022 runs from 6 May - 5 June.

Brighton Fringe Ltd is a charity run by a voluntary board of trustees. As a trustee, you will make decisions that will determine the future of the charity and have the legal responsibility for ensuring Brighton Fringe fulfils its charitable objectives and other legal obligations. The Board of Brighton Fringe sits every three months, but the commitment and time can be much more, depending on the time of year.
