Graphic Brighton 2022 – Comics by and for young people, is a FREE event at the University of Brighton, with talks, panel discussions, book signings and a workshop on how to make your own comics.
Comic book creators and children’s book illustrators will be attending the event, with Friday 27th May consisting of talks by academics and local creators about children’s comics, including the writers of Wallace and Gromit and Star Wars Lego comics.
Saturday 28th invites a variety of comic creators including Cole Henley (You’re Thinking About Tomatoes), Sally Kindberg (The Comic Strip History of the World), Woodrow Phoenix (Donny Digits), Matt Baxter (The Phoenix / Monster Fun!), to chat about their work and sign comics, plus the comic making workshop by a young graphic novelist Coco Kirkland who was published at age 16.
