Hobbyhorsing has taken Finland by storm over the last years. A growing number of Finnish youngsters have committed themselves to the hobbyhorse culture, which consists of designing and making their own hobbyhorses and meeting up for riding and jumping events.
Riding hobbyhorses has even taken the form of an organised sport, with the Hobbyhorse Championships held annually in Finland. The sport is estimated to have more than 10,000 followers in Finland alone. Hobbyhorsing is receiving a growing number of new fans and publicity, not only in Finland but abroad too. People are discovering it all over the world: Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, the UK, the US, Russia and across Asia and Australia.
