Fringe Friends Review: Foodilic Brighton

03 August 2017

You are immediately overwhelmed with the smell and colour of all of Foodilic’s gorgeous salads and wide choice of mains. Being able to see all of your options in no way makes it easier to choose what to pick. For our main we ordered quinoa and pine nut stuffed mushrooms covered in pesto and a baked aubergine with tomato.

Both mains were full of strong delicious flavours that went wonderfully with our accompanying salads.

We had four large hearty salads. First was roasted sweet potato with fresh figs, unafraid of unusual combinations we delved straight in. The sweetness of the potato and the refreshing figs worked together for the perfect accompaniment to our mushroom and aubergine mains.

Up next was the green beans, mange tout salad with hazelnuts & orange dressing again the mix of sweet and savoury balanced out the rich stuffing. The beans, hazelnuts and mange tout were crunchy and fresh, and a great vegan option. New potatoes, red peppers, chilli, onion & courgette, what’s not to love? Perfectly delicious, and nutritious addition. All you need now is the giant cous cous salad with roasted vegetables, and the meal is complete.

Foolilic’s carefully selected flavours and beautiful array of meat, veggie and vegan options make it the perfect place for everyone any time of day, breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Generous portions and friendly staff give this rustic restaurant a homely and welcoming atmosphere and will have you coming back time and again to try out all the possible combinations of salads and mains, and with the option for takeaways and such quick service, makes this entirely possible.
