What will happen with my tickets?

We are currently working with Fringe artists and performers to establish new performances in the rescheduled Brighton Fringe 2020 in September/October. Once events are rescheduled, we will contact ticket holders to ask which dates they would like to attend, and re-issue tickets.

If a performing artist is unable to attend the rescheduled Brighton Fringe 2020, we will let all ticket holders know via email as soon as possible.

We are a very small team, so appreciate your patience at this time – and we will update you on the shows you have purchased tickets for as soon as possible.

What if I can’t make it to the new show dates?

You have the option of having the amount put as credit on your account which can be used at either Brighton Fringe 2020 or Brighton Fringe 2021. This will be issued as a voucher that you can redeem online, as well as over the phone or in person. If you cannot move your tickets to a rescheduled date, we encourage you to convert your purchase to a donation to the companies and artists who have made the shows you booked for. This is a time of great financial strain for artists and we want to mitigate any financial loss as much as we can. Please let us know if you would like to do this and we can process this for you. 100% of the donation goes to the artists.

How can I support Brighton Fringe and the affected artists?

Brighton Fringe is a charity and relies on income from ticket sales to be able to exist. At this time especially, we welcome and deeply appreciate any donations. This pays for our staff and the ability to put on a festival year on year. You can make a donation here

Some artists and companies may individually set up crowd-funding pages or be suggesting other ways in which you can support them. Please contact them directly if you want to find out how you can support them. Additionally, please consider opting to convert your tickets to an artist donation, as outlined in ‘What if I can’t make it to the new show dates?”

What about my membership?

Because your support is what sustains the festival, your Friends benefits will be protected. Any unused 2 for 1 offers you were entitled to during the May 2020 festival will roll over to the new dates in September / October. Please note that most of our partnership discounts are year-round, so you can take advantage of these at any time. We will send out any unsent membership cards as soon as we can.

What about my gift vouchers?

All gift voucher expiry dates will be extended to be valid for the postponed festival.

Should I keep my physical tickets? Will I get new physical tickets?

As originally planned events will not be taking place in May, any printed tickets should be discarded. If you decide to exchange your tickets to a rescheduled date in September or October and originally asked for your tickets to be mailed to you, we will mail out new ones.
