how to get involved
Brighton Fringe Ltd. is delighted to announce that it has partnered with Caravanserai to bring their venue, previously seen at Camp Bestival, to Brighton Fringe.
The pop-up outdoor festival site will be situated north of St Peter’s Church, under a ten-minute walk from Brighton station, and run for the duration of Brighton Fringe. The site is an immersive world built out of repurposed caravans, with vintage fairground waltzers, and where hoopla stalls and shoot-out galleries become bars. You can get an idea of what the site will look like here.
Caravanserai will host two theatre venues. Luna Parc is a 220-seater big top, showcasing theatre, circus and cabaret, with aerial capacity and a late-night music programme supported by Continental Drifts. Junk Poet is a bespoke 50-seater bandstand venue, with intimate comedy, spoken word and theatre events.
The site will be free-to-enter, with street food stalls to enjoy, a dedicated family area for children and a Brighton Fringe box office on-site. With that intention in mind, the site will have areas where all Brighton Fringe acts can get involved, not just those performing at the venue. Brighton Fringe has also enlisted local promoters and producers to help programme the spaces on-site, those involved so far are Komedia and Laughing Horse Comedy.
We look forward to welcoming the Brighton Fringe and wider Brighton community to Caravanserai during the 2023 festival.
