Join adventure play experts Woodland Tribe in building a unique adventure playground at Hanover Community Centre on Southover Street. Participants will collaboratively build a second pop-up playground of this year’s Fringe festival. Let your imagination run wild as we invite the community to come together as play builders.
In the Hanover Community Centre garden hundreds of us will create a new and exciting play structure using hammers, nails, saws and a huge load of wood. Inside the building there will be a temporary play cafe, art exhibition, crafts and stalls. Anyone can attend the play cafe you do not need to book a ticket to access this space.
Between 2pm and 5pm on Saturday only we have an open mic session, both children and adults welcome to perform.
We believe play is for everyone, so we invite people to let us know about any requirements for accessing our activities. Each day we have a quiet session between 9.00 am and 10.00 am, which is aimed at children with SEND and we will also down tools at 5.30pm each to have a play session with a focus on decoration and adornment!
If you haven’t seen us before, check out our website for what we’ve been up to recently - building in the Tate Modern Turbine Hall and with Arcadia at Glastonbury! Come and join us at the Hanover Centre for Brighton Fringe. We can’t wait to play with you!
All young children must be accompanied by an adult, and adults can only be responsible for up to 3 children at a time. Children over 10 may attend this event without an adult
