#FindYour Story, Groove, Talent

WachArt For Altruistic Art invites you to its first public opening!

"Just as man needs oxygen to survive, he also needs art and poetry.” Aime Cesaire

WachArt, pronounced Watch Art, named after its founder Jean Wachter (Dutch word for ‘watchman’) is a social enterprise aiming to meet the needs of the local community and beyond by supporting mental health and achieving wellbeing through the development and diffusion of “altruistic” imagery.

As a label WachArt for Altruistic Art regroups curated artworks ethically acquired from disenfranchised and/or non-mainstream local and international artists, for their ability to reach beyond social boundaries and tell untold stories, heal social wounds and empower viewers safely whilst successfully engaging with our communities on the most pressing yet daunting social debates in a healthy and liberating way through the mean of positive imagery.

"Art is good for the health" was UNESCO 2023 World Art Day’s theme and at WachArt, we believe this is true for practitioners as well as their audiences.
