A very special evening of music and poetry performances celebrating the life and creative talents of the late Irene Mensah.
Ten years after her passing, Irene’s love of arts, culture and her community continues to inspire, and her legacy of an annual bursary provides a much-needed platform for local artists.
Join Irene’s friends, colleagues and peers from arts collectives including Writing Our Legacy, African Night Fever and Vocal Patchwork Gospel Choir who together with vocalist Adriana Lord bring you a beautiful celebration dedicated ‘To Irene... with Love’
The after show Late Lounge event features special guests - Brighton's original Sound System since 1984 - KING TAFARI LOVE MUZIC, who will be on the decks until midnight.
All proceeds from the evening will go towards the Lovey Foundation, a charity very close to Irene’s heart (www.loveyfoundation.org)
