Project COMEDY: Gag’s Army. Three military veterans bring you their individually unique brands of stand-up comedy - along with an amazing guest performance by their mentor Jay Sodagar. Prepare to have your stereotypes of veterans and the military well and truly broken - and have a freaking good laugh along the way.
Featuring:
Jay Saunders, a medically discharged former Royal Navy Officer, accompanied by his assistance dog Hawke. Finding the funny in living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and observing the challenges mental health brings to everyday life. Proving there is still loads of Humour after Horror.
Gabriel Murphy, an Irish grumpy highly functioning former British Army soldier with PTSD from his British Army days - fighting to raise the spirits but not ghosts with bone-crunching gags.
Jamie Johnson, former Royal Air Force and recovering former Live Action Role-Player. Uses his love of nerd culture to aid his mental health while questioning potential OCD and spotting the absurdities of his and other people's lives.
Jay Sodagar, is a professional stand-up comedian. While he is only just a civilian, he’s become an honorary wounded veteran - having acted as tutor and mentor to all the members of Project COMEDY. An outstanding wit - you’ll see why he needs recovery after teaching this bunch of military misfits.
Project COMEDY is the original scheme to provide UK military veterans with the ability to explore their transition to civilian life, recovery and well-being through the use of stand-up comedy thanks to its parent charity, Project RECCE.
