New Note Orchestra and Hullabaloo Community Quire come together for 'A Sense of Place'. Expect a collaborative musical bonanza of words, electronic orchestral music and lush vocal harmony.
New Note Orchestra will also feature some of their more popular compositions and Hullabaloo Community Quire will support them with a short, thematic choral set.
The show’s finale will feature a brand new collaborative work featuring both ensembles.
New Note Orchestra composes beautiful music, summed up by an audience member in Feb 2023 - "I was utterly blown away by the pieces the orchestra have created. I've not seen anything so sonically curious or absorbing since the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra did a tour commemorating Kraftwerk's Autobahn in 2018."
Hullabaloo Quire, the Grand Dame of Brighton’s Natural Voice singing community, is celebrating their silver jubilee this year! Described by Brighton Fringe as “The aural equivalent of finding a £50 note on the street”, Hullabaloo is an eclectic, genre-defying choral collective of singers from all walks of life. Hullabaloo is delighted to be welcoming the New Note Orchestra to their diverse list of collaborators, which includes Oysterband, Liane Carroll, Grace Petrie and Alice Russell.
