Who hasn’t sung along to "Hey, Big Spender?"
Now, there’s a unique opportunity to hear the songs of Dorothy Fields - "I Can't give you Anything but Love," "A Fine Romance," and "The Way you Look Tonight," to name a few when "If They Could See Me Now" comes to town.
A two-hander featuring jazz vocalist Suzanne Noble and her accompanist, former West End pianist/arranger Paul Maguire (A Chorus Line, Godspell, Evita, among others) this one-hour show will thrill anyone who enjoys the hits from the Great American Songbook.
Friends with the Gershwins, Rogers & Hammerstein, Fields had a remarkable career in a male-dominated industry and managed to outlast many of her peers through her skill in wordplay and use of humour. This warm musical reinstates Fields firmly centre stage.
