High & Dry
High & Dry is a powerful and authentic portrayal of addiction—a deeply personal, often heartbreaking journey that is as complex as it is confusing. Based on true stories and lived experiences, this forum theatre production opens up a space for dialogue, reflection, and shared understanding.

Through the lens of one individual’s struggle, High & Dry invites you to confront the difficult questions, stereotypes, and stigma surrounding addiction and dependency. As the story unfolds, you may find yourself asking: “What would I do?”

Brought to you by Cascade Creative Recovery and Speak Up! Act Out, the creative team behind the acclaimed Bertolt Wrecked (2021), this production is facilitated by Angela El-Zeind, a leading forum theatre practitioner, and features a cast of people in recovery from addiction and alcoholism.

High & Dry is a raw, honest, and thought-provoking account of the reality of addiction and dependency, and the social issues involved.
