Tulip, a young, free-spirited vicar, whose debt-ridden church is on the brink of closure, is looking for a miracle.
Living in a parish with a rising drug problem, trying to revive her failing love life, dealing with her bankrupt church, her oversexed nan, plus horny parishioners, she now has to acknowledge her grief after the recent, unexpected, death of her mother. With wavering faith, and bombarded with what appear to be signs from God, Tulip needs help. When an unexpected inheritance from her mother is announced, she finds herself asking if is God testing her faith or if has He found the perfect way to solve all her problems.
God on High is a play by Rhoda Dell which is loosely autobiographical. Four years ago Rhoda heard what she took to be the voice of God announcing that her mother, who was in good health, was going to die and how. And then she did... on Good Friday!
Since then life has continued to demonstrate to Rhoda that she may not be the sole author of her story, and following this realisation, she has found life a lot more interesting and fulfilling than she could have predicted. And when you let go of how you think life should look, it opens the doors to endless, and better possibilities.
Rhoda holds a Master in Theology from The University of St Andrews and trained at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in Acting and Singing before diving into writing.
