Disrupted Rhythms is a collaborative multimedia project suited to an era of disrupted rhythms, economic crises, pandemics, social upheavals and global political uncertainty. Disrupted Rhythms is a poetic phenomenological investigation into this sense of disruption.
Since 2020, a group of musicians, dancers, essayists, filmmakers, fine artists and photographers began a collaborative venture to explore the nature of rhythms, and their disruption, by creating a series of dance inspired happenings, and documenting them via film, photography and essays.
Tonight, they will be bringing all aspects of this project together: Film, photography, live performance, and a live improvised score orchestrated by Nick Hudson (The Academy of Sun). Expect a multisensory, multimedia event involving live dancing, live drawing, live violin, and projected film.
Directed and produced by Bradley Tuck (Exploding Appendix) Disrupted Rhythms is an Exploding Appendix project (www.explodingappendix.com). Exploding Appendix is a community based avant-garde art group based in Brighton who meet every three weeks on a Tuesday at the Southern Belle.
