‘Daisy M Stone: Well, this is sketchy’ is a cocktail of comedy monologues, poetry, and sketches all shaken into a one-woman show. Amongst a myriad of characters, Daisy would like to introduce you to a 7yr old Cowboy Pirate, several awkward teenagers, the housemate who teaches you that sieving tuna is wrong, the performer of Shakespeare’s missing Ode, and Cassie the reporter from beyond the grave. From nostalgia to embarrassment, and from grief to the ridiculous, Daisy presents the chaos in being a human woman.
As well as regularly performing improvised comedy with The Oxford Imps and Awkward Actors, Daisy has performed stand-up comedy as a warm-up act for comedians such as Sophie Duker and Harriet Kemsley. Last year, Daisy’s first absurdist comedy sketch aired on local BBC Radio stations and she performed sections of her current show at Nozstock the Hidden Valley Festival in Herefordshire, where she was introduced as one of the “finest wordsmiths in the UK”.
