Event Description

King Richard faces a big reckoning in a little cell. The golden boy is tarnished now, friendless and alone. He can’t stop crying or talking, in his ragged prison walls. Did he go, or was he pushed? Is he just a puppet? Voices, choices, gilded loam or painted clay - who was pulling his strings? And if the King isn’t in command then who is?! Gregory Gudgeon (The Lion King, Shakespeare's Globe, Complicité & RSC) is the King who can't stop playing. Also featuring Lucas Augustine. Puppets by Jitka Davídková and Brigitte Dörner. BowerBirdPrague are delighted to appear in the exciting new site-specific Cave at Onca Gallery. Previews: “An astonishing staging, thrilling and mesmerising.” Guy Roberts, artistic director Prague Shakespeare Company. “Brilliant." Steve Gove, founder director, Prague Fringe Festival. Wheelchair accessible. Touch tours available 45 minutes before the performance. For a Touch Tour email
