Concessions - who qualifies?

For the majority of Brighton Fringe events the Promoters offer a concession price on tickets for certain groups. Brighton Fringe’s standard concession prices apply to:

- Students in full-time or part-time education
- Those registered as being on state benefits
- Senior Citizens (those over 60),
- Under 16’s (provided that the event allows under-16’s of course)
- Equity members.

Additional Concessions

On some events there may be additional concession prices available – where that is the case these will be listed specifically against an event that is offering them. For example, if there is an extra discount for children under 12, there will be an Under 12s price listed against an event.

Brighton Fringe, wherever an event promoter has authorised it, offers one complementary ticket to Registered Carers attending an event with a disabled patron.

Family Ticket

This is 4 tickets purchased together at a special discounted rate. Family Tickets are available to, unless otherwise stated, 2 adults and 2 children, or to 1 adult and 3 children.

Proof of Status

Please note that for ALL events, proof of concession status will be required either when booking your ticket, collecting your ticket, or on the door of the event you’re attending. If you do not have ID then you will be asked to pay full price.

Wheelchair Access

Although Brighton Fringe endeavours to list accurately whether or not a venue is wheelchair accessible, we rely on the correct information being passed onto us by the event promoter, so we cannot always guarantee we will have up-to-date information. Patrons should always contact the venue directly for further information and to confirm disabled access.

Babes-in-arms

Brighton Fringe's policy is that a child under the age of 2 does not generally need to have a ticket for events. However, if an event is aimed specifically at young children (such as a Baby Disco, where everyone who can walk must buy a ticket, or those aimed at 0-3 year olds), or if they would need a seat to themselves (ie. if they were in a carrycot) then it is possible that they will require one. Please check with the Box Office or directly with the venue if you are not sure.

Please note, that even though they do not need a ticket, normal age restrictions still apply, and not all family-friendly performances will be suitable for very young children. We would advise checking the suitablilty of any event before attending.
