Job Title: Digital Marketing Coordinator
Job Type: PAYE, Permanent contract
Reports to: Marketing Manager
Hours: Variable, (4 days per week Jan-June, 3 days/week July-Dec, plus additional days during busier periods)
Salary: up to £15,000 per annum, pro rata
Holiday: up to 28 days per annum, including public holidays, pro rata
Brighton Fringe Ltd seeks a highly motivated and dynamic individual for the position of Digital Marketing Coordinator for Brighton Fringe, England’s largest arts festival and one of the largest fringe festivals in the world.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Digital Marketing Coordinator is a year-round post, supporting the delivery of all digital marketing aspects, including website, digital design and artwork, mobile app admin, social media, managing and resizing images. 
The post holder will have proven experience in an arts environment, delivering effective, digital marketing services on time and within limited budgets, with excellent attention to detail in written and visual work.

Key Duties and Responsibilities 

1. Digital Marketing and Design
Website and content management, overseeing web development process/design planning
Keep up to date with SEO, analytics and tools and implement any improvements where possible
Ongoing coordination and management of supplier and developer relationships
Contribute to marketing aspects of the Brighton Fringe website when required (image and copy editing, supporting the Marketing Assistant)
Administration of the social media and email marketing for Brighton Fringe, adhering to and updating the content calendar as required, supported by the Marketing Assistant
Work with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Assistant to produce the annual creative brief, advertise for and recruit a designer
Design and produce artwork for some marketing materials, including print and outdoor, based on the annual creative campaign
Manage and source digital images, liaising with photographers
Work with Development & Sales Executive to ensure that all advertising, both online and print are supplied and included correctly
Oversee the design and administration of the Brighton Fringe mobile app, liaising with the Marketing Assistant for all copy writing
Support Marketing Manager with design elements of proposals and delivery of sponsored activity through digital channels
Provide periodic and post festival evaluation of all aspects of marketing and communications activities, including box office statistics as required
Research new digital marketing ideas and develop plans for the subsequent year
2. Other Duties
Ensure timely, accurate reporting to Marketing Manager and the Managing Director when required
Assist and train other staff to edit relevant web pages
Manage office-based marketing interns and volunteers
Undertake any other duties in line with the responsibilities of the post as requested by your line manager, Managing Director or Board
Technical assistance to e-newsletter editing for other staff members when required
Occasional IT support to staff members
3. General
Attend training when required and endeavor to use newly acquired knowledge at work
Setting up / improving systems for planning and evaluating work 
Attend meetings with staff and Board when necessary
Be available for the duration of Brighton Fringe each May/early June
Awareness at all times of the organisation’s policies and procedures such as the equalities policy and ensure this underpins all other practices, policies and procedures

Person Specification

Excellent communication skills
Excellent organisational and administration skills, especially ICT skills
Web content management experience and up-to-date knowledge of different web editing and design tools
Knowledge of the Drupal CMS platform
Knowledge of HTML and CSS
Experience building front and back ends of websites
Experience of SEO and analytics
Ability to work accurately under pressure and to meet deadlines
Excellent knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign (designing for print and online)
Ability to manage staff and volunteers and set targets to achieve desired outcomes on time and within budget
Availability to travel and to work flexible hours when required
Ability to work independently or as part of a team when required
Experience of working within very small teams or organisations
Professional experience of the festival or general arts sector
Knowledge of Brighton & Hove arts sector
Knowledge of Box Office and ticketing systems
Experience of working for a not-for-profit organisation
Experience of working with volunteers
